Hey Guys,

I wanted to personally thank Brian for starting his newsletter some unteen years ago. During a converstation while on location for Make It Happen with Brian, I came to realize just how many folks ( talent, Casting directors, production companies) actually took advantage of his newsletter all with out compensation to Brian for his time.

I am so glad Brian decided to pursue with minimal compensation, which is a start in the right direction here in the DC/Metro, Baltimore area and the filming industry.

I am thankful to Brian because in seven years I have managed to book well over 280 individual projects, mostly paided. About 50% of those bookings came via Brians newsletter.

I have also have had the privelege to work with Brian on several projects. He is a kind soul and has dedicated his Darma to helping the actors and hasnt asked for anything in return. So if your thinking ...yuk yuk he's starting to charge for his site. I personally think Brian deserves to be rewarded for his years of dedication to the area and I think it's time that we all start to raise our standards and become working class actors, producers, and filmmakers.

Brian you have started a revolution of sorts and I commend you for it.

I have to say I completely agree. Thanks to Brian, I have made many many connections I would not otherwise have. I don't know if Brian really understands the positive impact he has on the DC/MD acting community. He is amazing.

I am actually glad he is charging for this site. I feel like he deserves compensation for everything he does for the acting community. He carries his own career and still tries to help others avoid scams and make turn dreams into their business.

Brian totally rocks.

Amen to all that's been said. Brian's list is THE best resource in the DC / Baltimore / Richmond region and I've used it many a time - both in casting projects I've been working on and in finding gigs as a production manager / historical consultant / production designer / costumer / local fixer, etc. Glad to see that the list is expanding from its humble beginnings and that Brian's charging a bit for the premium levels. A lot of people (me included) have made money off his free work and I think it's only fair that he be compensated. This list is WORTH it!

Brian is one of the nicest, most knowledgable people I have met in the business. He is a good guy. Remember what Brian has said, he doesent mind paying a fee for a website if he will get a return on his investment, there are fee's to maintain a website. We have all benefited from his list and its not fair for him to have to pay to help us. He is not trying to profit, if so he could have done that along time ago.

I agree with all the previous commentators. Your newsletters over the years into the evolution to this site has always been greatly appreciated. Thank you Brian. The new site rocks! I'm really diggin' the site!

Also agreed with what others have said. Although I've never personally met Brian, I've been with Dragonuk Connects for a few years now, and I've gotten several great jobs through it. Much love to Brian for helping out this whole area, and thank you very much!

I appreciate all the hard work Brian does to help his fellow actors find work. The emails were great; but this website is wonderful . . . so many services and applications to take your job search to a new level. His dedication is tireless! I can say that I've found work through his emails and it amazes me when I talk to actors and some don't know who he is and what he does! I tell them they need to get his emails. Well, now I'll have to tell them to join the website.

I don't mind the yearly fee; I think he deserves it for all the years he did his work for free! I have found more work on my own through Brian's emails than I have through any agency in the area!

Thank you, Brian. Your work is very much appreciated

The fee is small, the benefits large. As with most things, the size of the payoff depends on how much effort you are willing to put into it by checking in (several times) daily, keeping your acting profile up to date and sharing information with others. I've landed several film roles through DragonukConnects. It's a tremendous resource for East Coast actors.

I agree, Kathryn. Thanks to Brian, I've been able to learn an enormous amount of very helpful information about the profession and to find work as a background actor. What a great resource!
