How do I double space between paragraphs?

This is my first time making posts. I noticed that some posts are double spaced between paragraphs; as good writing should be. I tried even double double spacing between paragraphs and it's still jumbled and not correct.

How do I get two spaces between paragraphs when I post? I use the editor provided. Thanks.

Hi Caroline, Good question, I have complained to the Forum Developer about this. He has explained that the box you write in is an HTML box, so you need to know a little bit of HTML to make things look fancy.

Try this...When you post, to create a space and new paragraph, hit the enter button twice and then put the characters < br > in (take out the spaces). In html language that stands for "break". Then hit the enter button twice again and start your new paragraph. That should do it.

The developer has promised me that soon he will be offering us an upgrade with a better editor, but until then...Sorry about that!

Thanks, Jay for your quick reply. I might do that if I knew HTML and what the characters are that stand for "break". On the other hand; that's so much extra work just to get a couple spaces. Since my posts aren't graded by a teacher, I'll just go with the flow until the developer fixes the problem. LOL!

Well Caroline, I made a few changes in the script and the spacing worked at least in the replies, without any additional html. I still need to work on the spacing in the original posts.

Let me know if you have problems in the future, but I think we are ok now at least with the spacing when you reply to a post.

Thanks, Jay. Let's see how it works for my reply. I will be double spacing . . . . now!

Oh. I see, when I hit "enter" it automatically double spaced . . . at least in the editor. I'm going to continue typing to see if the text . . . yes it did . . . continued in single spacing.

Well, here we go . . . if it works . . . Yayyyy! If not, carry on!

Thanks!

Oh, well, Jay! I guess it's back to the drawing board! I'll be paitent. I'll still post when I have something to say; even if it doesn't double space.

Thanks.
