I Have some Information that You may Find Valuable and Want to Pass it on to all of you.
I Have been Sent Links to 2 Different Free websites That Store Soundtracks of various Accents & Dialects From around the world.
There are Advantages to Both sites
The Speech Accent Archive (SSA) at George Mason University (GMU) Has shorter clips to listen to and has a written Copy of the Script on the site so you can read it as you listen but There is Also a version of the Script Written in a Phonetic
Transcription so you can read the sounds as you listen.
Speech Accent Archive (SSA) at http://accent.gmu.edu/
The International Dialects of English Archive (IDEA) at University of Kansas (UK) Has much larger Clips to listen to and a written copy to read but no Phonetic Transcription so you can't read the sounds as you listen.
International Dialects of English Archive (IDEA) at http://web.ku.edu/~idea/
Both have fairly Extensive databases but each has things the other does not.
The idea is if you are Going to addition for a part (Film, Video, T V, V O, or Theatre) you can study the proper accent Before you go or While Learning the Part you are Going to do After you win the part.
You should keep both of these links handy for future Use
