Sean Pratt Presents his weekly article on the Biz Choosing Your Acting Career Goals for 2011 - WHY THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX MATTERS
Okay, it’s January. So that means it’s time to pick your five new goals to work on throughout the year. Unfortunately, since most actors confuse desire with discipline, they don’t force themselves to create specific goals and thereby dissipate their energies and remain unfocused and end up frustrated. As we walk through this process keep in mind that not all your goals have to be so literal, like “I want to land an agent” or “I’m going to get new headshots.” Sometimes, if you take a step back and see the forest AND the trees, you’ll realize that there might be some things you need to work on that will indirectly have a big impact on your career.
