I've seen some good ones and some not so good ones. Where can you get one? How to do it yourself. Post your questions and comments.

It's only a 3 minute DVD, but it's a huge file. How to I compress this professionally produced DVD so I can upload?

Jason, although Dragonukconnects plans on offering uploaded videos sometime in the near future, right now we onlyaccept YouTube Videos. They are really quick and easy to post, by just copying and pasting the url.

As for ripping the file from a DVD, That's the tough part! I have been using Nero for years with no problems. Nero and some other Video editing software have an "Import disc Feature". Which rips the video to a specified location on your hard drive and turns it into an MPG2 file, which youtube just loves.

That being said, once you are able to rip/import your video, Youtube asks for FLV, MPEG-2, and MPEG-4, but they will take many others as well not listed in their instructions. And they take up to 2 gigs! Go to http://www.youtube.com/create_account to create an account or go to http://upload.youtube.com/my_videos_upload if you have a youtube account and need instuctions to upload. Then just copy the new url and post it on your profile.

For converting DVD video to an .avi or mpeg file, I use WinAvi.It's great and easy to use! If I need another format I use Axara video converter. It has Flash, Quicktime, etc! Phil Listerowner, epicmediastudios.net

Wow!

Thanks Jay and Phil. Will give it a shot. By the way, Jay, you burned about 200 copies of this DVD for me a few years ago. Remember?!
